I’ve found the course so interesting - I’ve loved the food history and the culture that goes along side all the dishes. Linda has made everything so clear, from what equipment we need (the links to items is a bonus!) to what cupboard staples we’d need. There are detailed checklists along the way too, so you don’t have to make notes during the videos. I’ve loved being able to study in my own time, so it’s great having access to all the videos and files whenever I want. The most useful thing about the course is having a printable recipe, as well as a video to cook along with.

Comprehensive and thorough without getting bogged down, this course covers a bunch of interesting and delicious dishes and gives a lovely introduction to Sichuan food as a whole. Linda provides a delightful mix of information, anecdotes, pandas, and the occasional cat. All in all, the Panda Cub diner course is fantastic! Definitely one you don’t want to miss.

Panda Cub Diner is such a fun, interactive, informative way to learn Chinese and prepare your own delicious Sichuanese dishes. Linda does such a thorough job explaining not only the ingredients and recipes, but the history of the cuisine and giving you a holistic understanding, from a local herself! After moving to America at a very young age, I’ve always found it hard to continue learning about my culture, but food was always the one thing that brought my family together again and again over decades. After finishing Panda Cub Diner, I am confident in ordering my family’s favorite dishes at restaurants, and prepping my own kitchen with ingredients my parents grew up with. If you’re looking for an incredibly immersive, unique, helpful, course that makes your mouth water throughout the whole thing (my favorite were the Sichuanese mukbangs lol!), I would definitely recommend Panda Cub Diner!! I’ve also learned so many more Chinese characters in the process because Linda and Panda make it so fun!
